I'm assuming this will be a nice, long, rambling post. I'm getting started on this because over the past several years I have struggled with expressing and organizing my thoughts. Writing has always helped me do that. The process of being able to just put the words out there on paper and then go back and review them helps me figure out what I am thinking. I'm able to take the thoughts that may be jumbled up in my head, rolling around with no way to get in line, and make sense of them. I can revise, and make it make sense once I have it out.
There have been so many things over the past decade that I have done and experienced:
- Divorce and Remarriage (and all that comes with it)
- Parenting through divorce and co-parenting (once again... and all that comes with it!)
- Raising my amazing children (I'm totally screwing them up, right??)
- Falling headfirst into a battle with an eating disorder and coming back out (still working hard to get back to my old, healthy habits)
- Battling anxiety (oh my gosh it really sucks.. my palms are sweating right now for no reason)
- Supporting my husband on his journey to sobriety (again... and all that comes with it...)
- Getting a full-time teaching position (a long, long road but so worth it)
I'm not sure what exactly I'll be sharing here, or what direction this blog will take, so be warned. I'm sure it will take on the form of a bit of my home and work life. If so, you can expect a lot about: marriage (the good and hard stuff), parenting, and teaching.
